What is your opinion of this quote that black liberals love to trot out whenever there is a shooting or murder of a police officer after a police-civilian confrontation?

I don't hate black Americans, I hate the large preponderance of black Americans who don't respect the nuclear family, the traditional American work ethic, and who don't respect the laws of the land in regards to violent crime.

Whether it is technically true or not is irrelevant as they conflate police brutality with the police, themselves. They see them as one and the same. It's what they claim white people do when they see a black man walking the street. They think we feel unsafe because we are stereotyping but they are doing that with law enforcement.

Really good moment in season 2 of the new "Queer Eye" where this is addressed in a surprisingly touching and real way. Worth checking out if you want to have faith in the potential of American race relations

The way I feel about it is where were these black liberals when Daniel schiaver was killed? If police misconduct or incompetence is their issue, surely they would focus on everyone regardless of race.

No one like police brutality, but the left always throws the baby out with the bathwater.
They have completely unrealistic expectations of what cops should do. They also think that an unarmed suspect is not a dangerous one.
They expect a cop making $45k/year should be a sniper, martial arts expert, navy seal, paramedic, guidance counselor, race car driver, therapist, santa claus, accountant, an veterinarian.

First off, this should be a given. NOBODY is for police brutality.

They think cops being assholes is just something between them when in reality cops are assholes to everyone. And if I had to work with the scourge of western society I’d be an a-hole too.
