it's not a fair fight when it comes to media and news relative to content and how it travels

Conservatives are outmatched and outnumbered big time...

the latest noise I do not agree with or are correct characterizations of recent events or facts:

Trump supporters who stormed the capital are traitors

or

The election fraud claims never had any substance, that's why the courts rejected all the cases from being heard.

Trump incites violence with his speech, he is like Hitler, unhinged he must be impeached

Conservatives must be stopped from protesting fraudulent claims the election was stolen so we can heal and be unified.

I made the mistake of listening to Joe Madison this morning, he is on XM radio 126. To some black people, he's like their Rush Limbaugh...

Anyways he was asked by a caller if he thinks we will ever have a smooth transfer of power again. A good question...

he got really mad "yes, when we have another election and conservatives don't elect a dumbass like Trump" ...went on a tangent that Cruz and Hawley should be removed from office.

he thinks Ted Cruz should be removed from Office? Wow..I concluded we're at complete opposite ends.. Cruz is one of the few I would support in the future...so the future doesn't look good for finding unity

so that's where I turned off the radio.

Our country will never find unity...we think the other side is nuts and or stupid

Unity is not possible with all the noise so many of us take in every day...we need to accept the reality that as Americans we think much differently about the role of government in our lives...Are we ok with this difference?

Not really

it's a big country, can we coexist until the financial collapse that seems imminent?

I wish we could change the direction we're headed

the first order of business is controlling the narrative

What about usurping the will of the voters and what not? Dems OK with that now that they have all the power?

And this is where the Republican party has failed us. Note the difference when the terrorist shot up the Republican baseball practice. The dems were for the most part were very quiet. And Republicans did NOT hammer them on it with the thought it would lessen the rhetoric going on. And in essence let the Democrats off the hook.

Now to the capital. Every Republican lawmaker should be standing with Hawley and Cruz and denouncing the rhetoric being spewed by the Left as being instigators of an insurrection. Actually Nancy Pelosi meeting with the Joint Chiefs is a direct violation of the Constitution to the point of sedition and treason.

That's the problem, the narrative is already controlled.

The media leans heavily to the Left. We've witnessed the staggering degree of this by comparison of the tone of the coverage of not only the summer riots but the vocal support for the rioters by Congressional Democrats versus the tone of the DC riot last week and the insane over-reaction by not just Congressional Democrats and some Republicans but Big Tech and the media as well.

The narrative is on lockdown. We lost that war years ago when we began allowing Humanities degrees, especially those whose utility is just to assuage social guilt, to be deemed as important as STEM. We became a society that put feelings far above logic and thus changed our definition of critical thinking to match it.

This is our panem and the resulting society is our circenses.

Yep, when the media has become the propaganda arm of one political party then they have a significant advantage in shaping the narratives on issues and events.

A lot of truth in this statement. The problem isn't that they lost. It's that the left will never agree with who won. They are a one-way street. Going along to get along is futile and a losing tactic.

It's even worse than that.

The media has become the authority of what is accepted and what isn't. They are the Constitution on which this country is run now. The Left can do no wrong in a media run republic. They have complete authority of what is right and wrong. Doesn't matter what the actual law states, it's the perception of popular opinion and the threat of a left riot that drives it. The tech oligarchy is real.

It's not just the supporters who stormed the capital. A prof at U. Louisville wrote this week that all people who voted for Trump should shut up until they apologize for causing the riot.
BTW, he is prof of 'Pan African Studies.'
They didn't have that dept when I was in college.

All due to one 'stand up' guy. With such an equally 'stand up' base of supporters, it's surprising things derailed.

I just don't get it

So true!

Even more so true! The cowards we elected are staying quiet hoping they don’t draw any attention.

If this really happened and Miley actually answered that call the SecDef should be demanding his resignation pronto and the media needs to hammer home how this violates the Constitution.

I agree, the narrative is alive and growing and the vichy republicans will go along with and add to it to survive.

Unrealized by many is that you will not be allowed to be neutral. You will be identified and canceled if you express your conservatism in any form. You will be required to make efforts and gestures to affirm progressive ideals and will be required to openly reject Trumpism and MAGA. Being white, Christian, male, heterosexual, automatically saddles you with guilt you will have to absolve yourself from with abject submission and sacrifice. Or you can fight and the price will be paid by your family. No job, no benefits, no bank, no phone, no social media. You and they will be declared domestic terrorists and either confined or executed during a protest.
