What happens to the debris from all those rockets and the rockets that don’t explode? It doesn’t just evaporate into thin air. It must rain down on populated areas? I’d like to know what happens to it.

It falls down. What else would happen to it? I'm confused as to why you even have this question.
Falling pieces of rockets is preferable to falling intact rockets.

The flight of the Incoming missile is analyzed, then the best spot to blow it up (based on the landing location of the resulting debris field) is determined. Sometimes that debris field will include people, but the attempt is made to limit the impact.
On another note, the iron dome missiles don’t generally “hit” the incoming missile, instead they fly beside it and blow themselves up taking out the incoming missile in the process.
At least that is my understanding.

I wish dumbass leftists would imagine for 10 seconds what the US would do if a Mexican Drug Cartel was lobbing rockets and mortar rounds into downtown San Diego.
We probably would have already tactically nuked several cities.

I really doubt we would. Particularly this current administration. To them it would mean more citizens dependent on the federal government which to them is always ideal.
