It's a great demonstration of the fracturing of the public sphere and the growing influence of conspiracy theories in politics. As we get less and less possibility of consensus accounts of reality, you see these wild recurrences of blood-libel theories, occult, aliens, mole-men, simulacra, JFK Jr. as alive (a personal fave), etc.

This is exactly the kind of divisiveness that the Russians would like to sow in us. That thread is filled with secessionist traitors and Russian bots. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.
