Since its 1808 premiere, audiences have interpreted that progression from struggle to victory as a metaphor for Beethoven’s personal resilience in the face of his oncoming deafness.

Or rather, that’s long been the popular read among wealthy white men who embraced Beethoven and turned his symphony into a symbol of their superiority and importance. For others — women, LGBTQ+ people, people of color — Beethoven’s symphony is predominantly a reminder of classical music’s history of exclusion and elitism.

Beethoven bad, but Barack listens to Cardi B. Michelle holds up Beyoncé as a role model for her daughters.

As a classically trained violinist, I love all great music of Europe's enlightened age, but have never liked the big, bold STAR WARS sounds of many of Germany's greatest composers.

Give me a delicate and airy Mozart Waltz any day, mates.

There are way too many people out there that hate life. They should kill themselves and spare us their misery.

We’ve reached the phase of “racism” where I’m not really sympathetic

I’ve always preferred Beethoven’s 7th symphony over his 5th.

Does that make me less racist?

There are many reasons why the First Amendment was written the way it was. Anything can be defined as offensive especially today where miserable imbeciles can be offended by a classical song in a day where we are "graced" with Wet arse Pussy.

That's one of my favorite of Bill's routines. That and the black friends and the girlfriend in Harlem bit.

Which Beethoven is more racist L.V.B. or that huge dog owned by that privileged white family?

It's funny that you say this. It's really only perceived that way, and the reason why is the modernist form classical, which generally started in the late 1800s. Like many other avant-garde art forms, modernism in music began as a way to dissociate itself from what was viewed by modernists as a (too) popular art form. Once modernism took over, the populace was separated from prior forms of classical.

I wish I could slap the shite out of people remotely.
