Interested to hear from you Baws under 40, but this is why I feel sorry for y’all.

If you are younger than 40 you were born later than 1983. Which astonishes me. I was in elementary school in 1983 - but I still remember 1983. Things were pretty good. If you were born after 1983 you didn’t see the original Star Wars, or Superman (with Christopher Reeve moving the earth backwards), or Raiders of the Lost Ark, or the Goonies, or Top Gun, or 16 Candles or E frickING T at the movies. Plus, the Olympics were so much better. First of all they were all in the same year. But also our athletes actually remained standing and sang along during the national anthem. EVERYONE watched the Olympics. We waved flags and cheered for our country, not against it. All of us.

If you were born before 1983 - you came of age during the Cold War, and communists were the enemy. Ideologically- they were just BAD and inimical to freedom and our way of life.

If you’re lucky enough to be Genx (Gen Best), you came of age during the Reagan Era of the Cold War, which was the greatest era of prosperity during the 20th Century. You learned in school (and especially if it were Catholic School due to the Solidarity Movement and Pope JP) you learned that Communism was the basis of an evil empire. It was engrained within you by your family, your government, and your culture that a communist society that substituted government was soul crushing. With communism there is no freedom and no choice: You got the lunch that someone else ordered for you, whether you liked what was in your bento box or not. With Reagan you knew that even tho it was an ideological war, we could win it - because our ideas were simply, better.

Persuadable Boomers, like my parents, (they called them YUPPIES back then) got converted away from their dirty hippy communist anti American brethren- by Reagan. He was truly daGOAT. He staved off this shite show we’re living in by at least 20 yrs.

I truly feel sorry for people under 40. They spent their formative years indoctrinated by an education system that was literally overrun by Marxists who wrote the textbooks and the curriculum. Theses Marxists were the “Baby Boomers” who spent the 60s and 70s on hard drugs, hating America, and a percentage (size of which I don’t know) of my parents generation. They were also unattractive feminists who couldn’t find dates or husbands. My parents were very young parents, and also Southerners who went to state universities so by and large they didn’t partake in the idiotic Marxism that overtook universities in other regions of the country - as many of you Boomer Baws on here did not, either bc you went to an SEC school, or sadly, went to war in Vietnam (started by Democrats btw with no exit strategy fighting for “democracy” somewhere else. Sound familiar?)

By the time the 90s rolled around the angry anti American Boomers were running shite In business, universities and in entertainment. See: Bill Clinton; GWB. These were the worst types of Boomers. The most shallow of the yuppies joined Big Business and the MIC (W), and the most disgusting of the 60s radicals ran the culture, News and entertainment (Clinton Cabal).

If you went to elementary school in the ‘90s, you probably learned that 60s protesters were all pioneers and American heroes. My parents didn’t think these ppl were heroes. They thought they were a bunch of spoiled brats. My dad didn’t burn his draft card. He thought ppl who did were chickenshit, and leaving kids who didn’t go to college to do the dirty work. He didn’t think that was “equity”.

If you went to elementary school in the 90s, or beyond, you probably also learned that communism was in the past - but had its good points. You may have had a few college professors who thought that Fidel Castro was a freedom fighter. You probably also learned that Ronald Reagan was an irredeemable racist and fascist because muh patriarchy or Iran Contra or some shite.

I legit cannot imagine having gone to elementary school during the Obama years. His wife literally said she hated the country. The dude wasn’t inspirational. He was a fricking communist, raised by communists, who hired other communists that had been indoctrinated by communists that my parents avoided bc they thankfully went to college in the south. I cannot name a single thing that Obama made better for this country, or the people who live in it. Not one.

Do not kid yourself. Obama and the wreckage he wrought stemmed from the Marxist infiltration of academia and entertainment during the Cold War. If you’re under 40 - you’re the casualties in the Cold War unfortunately. You’ve been brainwashed.

My dad always used to say: those who can do, do; those who can’t do teach (when I would talk to him about how smart some of my law professors were). Those of us older than 40 prioritized doing over teaching to our detriment. When the GenXers grew up, we all got haircuts and real jobs - and left teaching schools and being rock stars (or whatever is supposedly cool now and whatever the frick an influencer is) to people who had no skill or diligence.

The commies played the long game. If you’re under 40 - just know that this reality you’re living in - is fake. It’s governed by a fake president in a freaking virtual reality, and it doesn’t have to be this way. It wasn’t that way just 10 yrs before you were born. Even during the malaise that characterized the 70s, Reagan was percolating.

You can change course guys. You just have to realize that collectivism and Marxism both suck. They put you on the road to misery. Not American values. Communist ones.

Oh - and Joseph McCarthy was right.

Reagan sucked too.

Coolidge was the last great president even with his flaws. He was the last fiscally conservative president.

Born in 84

I went to school and was taught communism was bad. I wasn't taught about any "good points" of communism.

I've been well aware now for years that the reality we live in is mostly bullshite. Carry on.

PS I went to public school. I do specifically remember one teacher who would bring up politics now and then in the 7th grade. He used to say Reagan was the worst president ever and the Clinton was the best president ever. We didn't listen to him and knew otherwise because our parents raised us right.

I am on the cusp thisclose to being your generation. So I have to add that boomers deserve accolades for being raised right by WW2 Vets.

Our greatest Generation are WW2 Vets.

I realize this is old and it is far worse now. But this is when indoctrination began fully woke cognitively impaired.

Also: During the depression which I think wasn't as bad as today but they had soup lines not food stamps that not all can get.

Sugar was a treat. And people shared and were not ugly with one another. Families of 12, 7, or 9 were common. Kids were not spoiled with an expensive ipad in their face.

How many here could use this form of communication? That was taken off the hook during dinner.

Reagan...

1) Reversed the downward economic spiral that peaked during the Carter years...

2) Yanked the rug out from under the USSR's oppression and stood before the world calling for them the "take that wall down"..

3) Not only revived the idea through his rhetoric of American exceptionalism.. But in his actions proved it...

Oh for the Reagan's of our time to come forward and lead..

No thanks.

I'm not a fan of amnesty and an expansion of the EIC.

It started in the 70s. I refused to go there after 1990.

Reagan was chosen by the elite Alfalfa Club of DC that allows no press. LINK

The DC establishment allowed Reagan. He was not a bad President; but he was controlled & wasn't an outsider as some may think...

The democrats attacking him was the same illusion we saw with GWBush. Anyone with sense would want Reagan any and every day over Biden, Obama, Bush's, Clinton. It was the R's turn.

Reagan did Amnesty and threw out some bones to cut big govt. But big govt was always there.

Chris Christie coyly explains MAGA voters as a danger to democracy and compares it to the time that Reagan saved the GOP. LINK

To: anyone that watched Chris Christie's speech.

His goodness, democracy, rule of law goobledeygook would have been respected 100 times more if he had spoken about the spying on Trump for 4 plus years and all of the Russian agent accusations.

It wasn't just oppo research regular politics it was illegal usage of the FISA court to commit a coup against a sitting President.

Christie also failed to mention outrage to an FBI raid on a former President. It makes me vomit that he puts a goodness crown on his head when he shut down a bridge like only a democrat would.

What a vacuum head. Almost every child raised during the depression had it very hard. It made them tough, self-disciplined and very generous and compassionate.

you are.

I have said this before. The end of the Cold War and the threat of the USSR greased the skids for the push of socialism/Communism in colleges/universities.

As usual, great post.

Being born in 1970, and the third child, my parents were older...born in the 30's. Also had my paternal grandmother living with us who was born in 1911. Nothing of the 60's penetrated any of that. My wife's parents were younger but lived in the country in rice farming areas. "The 60s" missed them as well. Because of that, our sons now 20 and 15 were raised by parents that were never tainted by any of that...and it shows.

Which is why too many of us still think that "When they get out of school the real world will hit them in the face and they'll be forced to grow up and change." Problem is, they are changing "the real world" into what they've always known...which is why they are not being hit in the face by reality.
