Half of Louisiana's population is unemployable.

I think this “debate” is very niche in the grand scheme of things. There are less than 100k of these visas being issued, iirc. I sympathize with guys like gnug and 50 tiger but this issue is low on the list for most folks.

Almost all of (what used to be) the most valuable and innovating companies ever conceived are now run by Indians. I wonder if they will do better or worse than when they went from nothing to 12 figure valuations under American leadership.

Intel has flopped for this exact reason. Run by Indians, owned by Israelis. Worst combination.

SFP’s post about their academic background was on point. My limited (very) experience with this is similar - professionals who can go from A-B with instruction but have zero idea on how to go from A-Z.

You're not so subtly implying I'm racist and now you're trying to "crawfish" out of it. It's lame.

You say its a niche issue.

It might not be so niche in 10, 15, 20 years if we have people at our highest level of government greenlighting hiring pajeet for 70% of what an American wants.

Look, we're all free market capitalists here, but these companies are only as America first as you force them to be. The executive who is getting paid 8 or 9 figures regardless of company performance will happily shore up the expense side of the balance sheet with cheap foreigners and he doesn't give a frick if that means the company falls off a cliff 5, 10 , 15 years from now.

I don’t disagree. I guess I was commenting more on the effects of this debate on Trump’s start in the WH.

Millennials have recently become the dominant labor group in the US and our GDP has skyrocketed.

This is a corporate talking point that’s used as an excuse to hire cheap labor. There’s no real evidence for this.

India has a billion people. A tiny sliver immigrate to the US. We effectively get the top percentiles of a country three times the size of the US.
