Let the Brazilian army fight them if they want. We don't need to be wasting more American lives on other countries' domestic issues.

If I’m watching life saving aid be burned up by the ruling party while I’m starving I’m fighting to the death with the scum bags who torched it. Really feel sorry for the people of Venezuela. Hopefully we can find some way to help them.

You do realize that if the UN gets involved in a fire fight, we get involved in a fire fight, too, don't you?

Socialism results in the government turning its guns on the people to keep them in.
We are in charge. Love us or else!!

It will end up being a US vs China proxy war with the Russians in there somewhere. China is big time backers of Venezuela. Part of their get countries in debt to them and get land for military instillations initiative.

yes, let a country that is recovering from two socialist tyrants fix the country that is dealing with a socialist tyrant.

Socialism - it always works at first...

Dude, we already gave legal recognition to the opposition, gave them control over Maduro's assets and sent in food, medicine and other necessary supplies.

We're already all in because the Maduro Regime has been acting to undermine our own economic and national security interests and colluding with Cuba, Russia and China to do that.

Now the Maduro regime is already killing their own people and burning humanitarian aid.

The next step is to implement a Naval Blockade to cripple the Maduro regime's oil profits.

Dude, the UN is worthless and does not support the opposition and especially so considering that Russia and China supports Maduro.

And another decade of occupation and rebuilding on the US taxpayers back to remake a sovereign foreign nation in our own image.

Venezuelans elected Communism into power on their own, they can get themselves out on their own.

Any Americans that wish to engage financially or militarily, sign your own asses and cash onto it and leave the rest of us out of it!

Don’t want to be involved but also don’t want to deal with an influx of migrants. We need the countries south of us as stable as possible

We can't have it both ways.

We're going to eventually have to choose between going all in against Maduro or backing the hell out and pray it turns out all right and there's no refugee crisis.

I completely disagree. The UN is heavily populated by countries that are far more socialist than we are. The last thing Venezuela needs is more socialism to ease the problems their socialism has caused. Besides, we're the single largest contributor to the UN, so either we're going to fund socialists helping socialists or we're going to fund pushing for more free-market reforms so they can help themselves.

This isn't the Middle East where they've never known more freedom (or at least haven't known it in the lifetimes of so many citizens). Venezuela was once much freer and much more prosperous, but instead of combating poverty with a framework that guided private behavior they chose to allow the government to take over private sectors (this started around 99 with socialists taking control of the federal government). With so many still knowing what a more free society is like it's far less likely to be a continuing morass like the Middle East.
