“We only want confederate statues down”

I never knew that their logo was a cross and a flame. I always thought it was a cross and cape. Like the methodists were trying to tell other Christians that they were not just Christians but super Christians.

Keeping the flame would have been very appropriate given the church's masochistic desire to self-immolate

Not being Methodist, always it represented the Robe. Why a flame?

Can't let anything survive the cultural Marxist purge.

The KKK always claimed love god and Jesus and to be a Christian organization. Why in the world would you set fire to the symbol of Christianity? Never made sense to me. But who am I to pretend I can read minds of dimocratix.

This is why we can't have nice things

If they're bending the knee to men rather than God then He isn't in their "church" in the first place nor in their hearts.

I always thought it was supposed to be the veil of the temple torn in half.

Didn’t know that was supposed to be a flame....only a racist would notice that.

The UMC left me a while ago. Becoming waaaay too left.
FWI - the flame represents tongues of flame that came and rested on those in the upper room at the time of Pentecost.

There are two tongues to the flame, representing the two churches that merged to form the current UMC.
Racist has nothing whatsoever to do with it. "Tongues of fire" like those on Pentecost.
