I'd imagine it'd depend on the temperature. And be risk/benefit weighed. As it already should be and kinda was anyway.

From trumps own teams studies and statement it is:

Talk to a physician.

From his study :

quote:

We recommend judicious acetaminophen use—lowest effective dose, shortest duration—under medical guidance, tailored to individual risk-benefit assessments, rather than a broad limitation,”

Oh. So a qualification on the much touted tweet from the manufacturer?

Kind of a lame gotcha then.

The official statement from this week

Pre two days ago

“Recommendation is to consult a doctor before taking Tylenol while pregnant”
One thing that's possibly changed is deranged Karens now spitefully and performatively ignoring the advice on the bottle...in public.

Its not a dumb hill to say it was absolutely stupid as shite for the president of the united states to make multiple statements completely contradicting his own studies and medical experts official statement

A lot has, actually

quote:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has initiated a safety label change for acetaminophen products, including Tylenol, to reflect evidence suggesting that the use of acetaminophen by pregnant women may be associated with an increased risk of neurological conditions such as autism and ADHD in children. The FDA has also issued a related letter alerting physicians nationwide.

LINK

No more simply saying consult a health professional on the label and now it will clearly say it is linked to Autism and ADHD

That’s exactly what I said is it not?

Again, my post

Pre two days ago

“Recommendation is to consult a doctor before taking Tylenol while pregnant”

New recommendation

“Consult a doctor before taking Tylenol while pregnant. No causation association can be formed with autism but it’s safe to consult a doctor before taking”

That’s verbatim from the fda report

Like, what's the fricking problem here?

The problem is the OP - in the weird information-collapsed environment of online, people treat all texts as if they are equivalent - a random tweet, a White House statement, a journal article, an FDA label. Context evaporates, and an out-of-context tweet got circulated as a gotcha as if it represents carefully weighed scientific conclusion when it's a throwaway cya.

And yes, it's dumb to recklessly take medication for social-media clout out of teen-style reactance. We agree.

That's a pretty significant change you said was "not much"

That label is sure to give pregnant women, without terminal TDS, pause

yet we have to read pages and pages of you raging out about Trump - without a whisper of the media's role in calling this whole thing a fake science conspiracy and putting babies potentially at risk.

Like I said before. This is fricking stupid and people are tired of it.

You wouldn’t get it or acknowledge it if it were a gotcha because you are legitimately stupid

seems pretty straight forward.

one could likely conclude that this was a response to a question regarding the safe usage of a Tylenol product while pregnant...

It's a public statement from the company. It doesn't matter that it is a response or not. Stop shilling.

Take a look at this Reuters article from 2013:

quote:

Expectant mothers often take Tylenol, with the active ingredient acetaminophen, to deal with back pain, headaches or mild fevers during pregnancy. But frequent use may be linked to poorer language skills and behavior problems among their children, according to a new study.

quote:

The developmental problems seen in this study align with symptoms of autism spectrum disorder, though the children had not been diagnosed at age three. Herbert has been studying the possible link between acetaminophen and the disorder for several years.

"I don't think it's a done deal," she told Reuters Health. She doesn't like to pin "the cause of autism" on any one thing, as many factors are likely involved.
"But for those people who wish to take precautions, this is something they can do," Herbert said, referring to pregnant women cutting down on Tylenol use or choosing ibuprofen instead.

You are making my point. Reuters had no problem with this well established science back when Obama was POTUS, but check out their headline from yesterday...

Trump links autism to Tylenol and vaccines, claims not backed by science

If a one-off tweet is evidence of hidden knowledge of undisclosed risk, what do we do with the dozens of official statements from Tylenol and medical groups affirming it’s safe in pregnancy? Do we weigh them the same way, or is there a reason to treat some public statements differently?

Give me your CT.
