It was the perfect storm for Jones. Moore was a very flawed candidate to begin with, and the accusations of pursuing teenage girls as a 30 year old made the country club conservatives think twice about supporting him given today's sexual assault/harassment climate. Enough of those conservatives stayed home.

Dems will spin it as a rebuke of Trump, which it wasn't. Trump could run against Hillary tomorrow and he'd easily carry Alabama. Nevertheless, Dems smell blood and they are going to go after Trump hard on the premise that he needs to be removed from office as unfit. Let the impeachment phase commence.
