I said this from the beginning. Ukraine is to corrupt to support in any fashion. Its political theatre at its best, and were all paying for it.

Funny how this happened after losing the house and POTAUS missed the dinner.

Zelensky took over a country that had already had a section of territory annexed by Russia part way through Obama. Yet, do you buy a bunch of artillery rounds from South Korea? Do you buy drones from Iran?

No, you do nearly none of this (the EU countries wouldn't have sold him anything anyway, but Israel and Korea would have). Their total defense spending was $6B in 2020.

I complain about the Germans, the French, the Italians, and other members of NATO the same way. In 2020, the Poles spent THREE TIMES what the Ukranians did on defense, and they hadn't been annexed over five years previously.

What's wrong with asking a country to put their money where their mouth is? What is Germany doing? He's just calling out the inequity of what we do vs. what countries within spitting distance of the invasion do.

I’m trying to play catch-up on this. It was reported that Russia hit Poland and Zelenskiy was using it to push NATO to officially join the festivities. Poland was convening some sort of security / defense meeting to determine what happened….

And now it’s Ukraine that launched and hit Poland? Has that been confirmed or just alluded to and by whom?

I know, I'm referencing what the Ukrainians were doing with *their own money* against a proven threat. I won't even get into what some of our grants are being used for (hint, it's not beans or bullets,) and we are the ones dictating some of the use.

Everyone knew how corrupt Ukraine (and I'm not ignoring Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, the other 'stans in the area, it's just that we're talking about Ukraine and Carlson) was. I mean, our own VP at the time engaged in pay for play, so why wouldn't Ukraine think this was OK?

Tucker was wrong about him being a strongman, though. He knows what strings to pull to get the US to jump, and how to do it through social media campaigns and Sean Penn. I guess he learned from show business and Obama's mid-career activities.

The strong, strong suggestion given the location is that Ukraine was using surface to air missiles against a perceived threat that went awry. Not super uncommon.

But, we still don't "know" who shot down MH17 eight years after it happened and years after the Dutch report was finished, so, it was probably Stalin himself that launched the missiles. Sarcasm aside, they use so much of the same equipment, it's going to be hard to tell the provenance of the ordnance with full certainty. There will be some back channel stuff (probably using our money) and it'll go away quickly.
