Gave a 5 minute, John Oliver - esque monologue takedown of why Warhawks and neocons supported Syria intervention, yet spoke out against defending their own borders.

Then the segment morphed into a huge attack on Bolton... The ultimate hawk.

Apparently tucker all but confirmed that Trump has been heard around Washington this week saying, "I think he wants to get me into a war"

Tucker:"yes... I can tell you, yes, he wants to get you into a war!"

They have hated each other for a long time

How many wars has Bolton started since he joined?

Oh that's right

When I was listening to Trump's speech today he was very complimentary of Bolton. Said Bolton is a trusted advisor but admits that there are times when he has to ask Bolton to cool his jets a bit ... imagine that.

There's a button for that on your channel changer.

quote:

For all its brevity, Bolton's statement included multiple inaccuracies and raised troubling questions about who, exactly, controls the Trump administration's foreign policy. It is an unnecessarily reckless framing which engages in exactly the escalation Bolton himself decries.

The first glaring problem with Bolton's remarks is how misleading they are about what prompted the deployment. While Sunday's statement describes it as a "response" to Tehran's behavior, the reality is the Navy announced this "regularly scheduled deployment" a month ago following "almost two years of intense training and preparation" for the carrier involved. This was not a spur of the moment reaction to anything Iran did or failed to do

I don't mind that much. I like war. America is good at it, mostly.

Tucker may be the closest to a non-interventionist, libertarian on tv news...from the clips I’ve seen.

No shite that's all Bolton wants. One of the best things Trump could do is fire Bolton's arse.

John Bolton is a thug piece of shite and has been wrong on American foreign policy for decades. I know the fools that voted for McCain and Bush for his second term on this board just brush him off but he's a dangerous blood thirsty man. Drain the swamp? And John Bolton is a trusted advisor? Get frickin real

You know how he butters up people and doesn’t mean it. It’s gotten Trump in a shite load of trouble in the past.

Or control him

It isn't as if Bolton can declare war on someone.

John Bolton's sole reason for involving himself in politics is to foment war across the world. If he had his way, an endless stream of young Americans would be sent to their deaths in faraway lands so the donors to the Clinton and McCain Foundations could make another $10 million or so.
