re: Trump's Lawyers Make Recommendation On Whether He Should Meet Mueller

I think the saying goes,"Never sit down with a man that owns a grand jury". Mueller has more than one. I've always been fearful that the President would insist on meeting with the Mueller team because he knows it's all nonsense and he wants to dispel with any notion of collusion. Sadly,with the Flynn and Papadapolous indictments, they'll use anything they can to get a skin on their wall. I think the only play for Mueller toward the President at this point would be the Comey firing or getting him to say something that somebody has testified to differently. I'm still confused as to why the Comey firing is even brought up as obstruction,though. The presidents article II powers are pretty absolute(as I read them).

Even assuming they could subpoena him (and they can't, a grand jury could), they can only make him appear. They cannot make him answer questions (and, since GJ proceedings are secret, the whole investigation will go tits up because SOMEONE on Mueller's team will leak what he says/doesn't say).

N-E-V-E-R talk to the Feds or anyone else. You cannot help yourself by doing so.

I might release a statement claiming executive privilege or whatever reason the shysters choose for not talking, and definitely mention the leaks. But it would not be in his best interests to talk, not at all.
