The second he let it be known he wasn't going after Hillary he showed his weakness, he should have picked an AG and had her arrested the second it was possible.

Trump is weak and stupid for many, many more reasons. He was far better at real estate.

I agree. Candidate Trump and President Trump are two very different people.

At least you can't say he didn't represent the people that voted for him.

Trump will be gone soon.

The growing stupidity of a material percentage of this country is what will bring us down.

Trump is not ideological. He has never seen Wash DC as "Globalist Progressives vs. Constitutional Conservative Nationalists". He has no understanding of the nature of ideological warfare. He doesn't realize that he himself is on the defensive in an aggressive ideological war.

He has approached his political enemies as one approaches a business deal with another business entity: Let's Make a Deal that makes us both happy. Trump doesn't understand that his political enemies have no desire to make ANY deal with him because they want to Oust the Orange Outsider from the Oval Office by any means necessary.

Well, he will one day realize that he is at war; he PERSONALLY is at war and the other side's objective is to put Donald Trump in prison.

I disagree strongly that he is either weak or stupid. That is flat wrong. You can say that he's naive and stubborn in his naivite, but that's not the same as "weak and stupid".

I can't disagree. He would have sent a chilling message to the swamp dwellers that he was not just bull shitting about draining the swamp.

If he didn't realize he was in an ideological war with an unhinged dangerous enemy then he's stupid, he should have on the offensive day one and had every democrat he could charged with crimes and launched investigations into IRSgate

He's naive and stubborn, IMHO. But, I certainly understand why many people would say that he's just plain stupid for not expecting to be immediately targeted by his political enemies to be impeached and imprisoned. I'm sure that some adviser suggested this to him and he stubbornly ignored it.

But we both know that he has many political enemies within the GOP. How much of Trump's agenda does the GOP really want to see in place? The GOP likes open borders. The GOP likes Globalism. The GOP likes entitlement programs, the GOP hates cutting entitlement programs and the GOP has never significantly cut the size of FedGov.

So, yeah, Trump was naive or maybe even stupid for thinking that there would be many in the GOP that will join the Dems in wanting to see him Resign in Disgrace.

The GOP wants its political party BACK and TRUMP is in the way.

I agree.

But he naively believed that, by not doing as you suggest, he could offer the Olive Branch of Peace and bring an end to the political war against him. He was very, very wrong and is paying a heavy political price for his awful miscalculation. Let's hope he finds some smarts and stops thinking like a rich Episcopal old man. He needs to start thinking like a Sicilian that's been in street fights and bears many scars.

Mueller may yet have that shot. Don't know that he'll take it, because it would humiliate Comey.

He fricked up when he had Sessions recuse himself from the Russian stuff.

Never ever concede to the left.

100% Beta move

Did Loretta Lynch recuse herself from the Hillary case when she was busted in a secret meeting with Bill?
