Trump to GOP: Repeal or Lose Your Seat

This isn't an order from Trump. It's just a statement of reality. Obamacare is less popular than Common Core, and taking a chance to repeal lightly is not going to go over well with republican constituents.

And before anyone says "congress knows their constituents". Trump won the Republican primary despite not having any political experience by making a very big deal that he was more in touch with Americans on immigration than every other candidate from both parties. Love him or hate him, he's not oblivious to what influences the pulse of the voters that support him. A lot of republicans in congress won elections against Democrats that supported Obamacare.

This bill is for the "super rich?" You're a laughable buffoon. You do realize that this "cover less Americans" nonsense is due to people currently forced to purchase insurance who don't want to now being able to go back to they way they want to be, right? Please tell me you're not that daft.

This isn't true for a significant percentage of those who will lose coverage under the AHCA, not to mention by far the biggest part of this bill is a tax cut for those making over 200,000 a year.

Repeal Obamacare and replace it with garbage that's not even popular among Conservatives...that's exactly what the Dems need to take back the numbers.

THIS^^^^^

I voted for Trump, but this Healthcare Bill does nothing to solve rising premiums. If he wishes to burn his presidency down this fast than so be it. He made some "Art of the Deal" with Paul Ryan behind the scenes for him to jump on board this failure and POS legislation.

I'm won't vote for Trump again if he allows this shite bill pass as is with nothing to solve rising premiums. The bill is a joke.

the next election with trump on the ticket is 2020, you will forget about this in 2020 and vote for trump b.c he is better than whoever the dems elect.

With that said, this bill fricking sucks and doesn't really address any of the problems associated with obamacare. The Rs will lose seats if they pass it, especially if its implemented before 2018.

The ACA is more popular than the AHCA by a good margin.

Obamacare is unopopular because its plans have expensive premiums and high deductibles due to an awful risk pool. This bill will make the risk pool worse because it replaces the mandate with a 30% surcharge for the first year. If you are uninsured and can stay healthy for just 4 months the savings pay for themselves and you can wait until you're sick to sign up.

Not sure how passing a bill that is pretty much Obamacare with some conservative window dressing is going to make these politicians anymore popular come reelection time.

The problem with this bill is that it fixes basically nothing. Once it passes then the GOP owns it.

At this point the GOP would be better off just going for a full repeal and then when it fails blame the Democrats for standing in their way if they don't want to come to the table. Have them live with and own the failure that is Obamacare, which is only going to get worse.

True, but a good percentage of voters primarily want it repealed because it has the word "Obama" in it.
