Maybe it's just me but I don't think the general public really cares enough about journalists for them to become the next victimized pod - no matter how much they fake shake.

They'll never know this though. Because of the massive expansion of the internet and internet media, none of these people ever encounter any perspectives outside of the pundit class.

Trump is just using exaggerated messaging as usual. The real message is don't trust the media. But that's not for my ears that's for people that nominally follow politics.
