It has never been about the Tariff's alone. People are getting confused about this.

Its about fentanyl and then fairness with Canada, Mexico, and China (Ex US 200% for Milk Canada)
Its about fairness with the EU (50% for Bourbon)

We charge 0% as of now for these.

Why lower ours?

We need the tariffs to abolish income taxes

If it's about "fairness," at all, then it's a really immature thing to do and a blatant mistake.

Thats their loss and why they are still shithole countries.

There is a reason that they are putting tariffs on our products and “loss” would not be the reason.

Free trade?

We need the external revenue service, remember. We are going to lower/eliminate federal income taxes, remember?

Foreign governments are always involved in limiting American companies.

What is this until scenario you are describing?

The fact that he has to explain this to the MSM speaks volumes about where we are as a society.

It goes against The Globalists agenda. People don't realize just how much America subsidizes other countries through these tariffs. That is why they hate America First.

The whole schtick of Canada 51st State was precisely because of the huge deficit we ran in relation to tariffs. We were pumping shite tons of money into their economy and not getting anything in return.

Everything Trump does puts America's interest in the forefront. The WEF loving Globalists don't like that because it cuts into their money.

My views are the same as they've been over the past 15 years. Nothings changed.

Central economic planning makes your people poor.

Tariffs are not meant for that. It will create jobs here, because it promotes buying local goods instead of foreign ones.

I don't think Trump means to have these as a long term plan.

They are shitholes because they make money off the US?

Has nothing to do with their corrupt governments or any other aspect?

You are not a serious person.

So what happens when the tariffs get dropped and foreign goods go back to being significantly cheaper?

While I think Trumps motives are noble in regards to the American people, hes a businessman, and he sees free money just laying on the ground waiting to be picked up

If you want to tap the wealth of the US economy, you need to pony up before you are granted access to that wealth. No one thinks Canada has its economy without US purchases. Same with Mexico and China

Trump knows that once those US dollars leave our borders, they are not coming back. Especially the loss of taxation. So these foreigners get to drop a dime to the Treasury first, then pull that wealth from our economy

And when other countries respond with more tariffs the media labels it as “retaliatory tariffs” as if they’re standing up to the bully…but all the US did was impose reciprocal tariffs to begin with. You don’t see that reported so glowingly.
