There are 100% gas gas stations around, easy enough to fill up there.

Might have to go out of your way to find them though

Ted Cruz won the Iowa Caucus on a platform of ending all ag subsidies and ethanol mandates.

Not what I said but deflect if you like. Again, this post, like your first, is a weak effort.

I hope something changes.

I would argue that he won Iowa despite that being a part of his platform. My take, it was a testiment to Ted Cruz's ability to connect to the common people.
Trump was viewed as a typical New Yorker...not of their ilk. Trump may still be trying to bridge that gap. Making ethanol the enemy at this point would seem to be unwise imho.
In short, Cruz could overcome the platform that you mentioned, I don't think Trump can (at least not in his 1st term). It would seem as though he feels the same way. In his 2nd term he can enact policy changes that are beneficial to America. It is what it is...political gamesmanship.

What does that even mean?

The ethanol in gas is for corn growers and nobody else. It is for special interest.

It is the government mandating that the citizens use gasoline with ethanol AND the government mandating taxpayers subsidize the special interest so that the ethanol is profitable.

Now that is pure and simple government abuse of the citizens.

You support for whatever reasons and for whatever length of time. I do not.

Weak is saying one supports it because it helps their preferred candidate. Such people are why we can not get the size of government under control. Such people are why government robs our freedom more every day.

Good God you are a drama queen. I laid out my view in a post above. You hate Trump...fine. I called you out for choosing a topic where the limitations of Trump are clear...especially with the timing. I would prefer that corn subsidies be gone. However, I am not naive enough to think that a decision like this may not have an even higher cost...losing Iowa and losing an election. Trump, imho, cannot work against the Dems AND the RINOs in Congress and make the changes you are suggesting. The opposition is still currently too strong. Having a "majority" was smoke and mirrors. Many of the RINOs that were NEVER going to affect real change are gone. But many remain (Romney etc.). His approach seems centered on long term benefits as a result of short term pain. These subsidies are just that...short term pain (at least potentially...if, as I suggest, that he is able to remove them in his second term). I guess time will tell. That is why this thread is weak.

and f's up small engines.
My small engines stayed in the shop before I was able to find non-ethanol. Even had to toss a couple as they were ruined. Now, I go out of my way and pay more for pure gas but it keeps my equipment out of the shop (at least from the ethanol eating up internal parts side of it)

That article is trash.

The proposal is that E15 (15 percent etoh) would be allowed in all markets year round. Currently most markets are E10 The incentive to put more ethanol in fuel would be economic with ethanol trading at a steep discount to gasoline. More demand and the decreased RIN value would make that less and less attractive as ethanol prices would increase and the credit values decrease with more blending.

RFS is stupid, for economic and environmental reasons, but this article is just as stupid.
