but it's not. an endorsement is such a hollow thing in politics. of course the republican president is going to endorse the republican candidate in Utah who is going to win. ders

but you didn't address anything because your perception of this thread (and I imagine many other things) is so far off. You think trump, the head of the party, should either not endorse Romney or oppose him...which of course, you'd be sky screaming about for other reasons.

My perception of this thread is that it addresses the need for Trump supporters to reconcile their BigDogKissMyRing image of Trump with the fact that he has to support Romney. If anything is this victory for Romney.

That is what I find hilarious. All the discussion of 'cucks' and 'god emperors' and now Trump is kissing Romney's ring. If you don't find that funny in a karmic justice way I don't know what to tell you.

That said, yes of course Trump should endorse Romney. As I have posted here many times, I have more issues with Trump supporters (at least on this board) than Trump himself.

Romney was begging for Trump’s support in 2012. Trump could have said “Mitt drop to your knees” and Mitt would have dropped to his knees

Pretty sure that was Kristen Giilibrand.

In what world do you think this is happening here?

Especially after this happened.

Trump, the republican President endorsing the republican candidate that's going to win is a mere formality.

Trump doesn't give a frick that we remember, and he doesn't care about "muh principles"

This is true.

If anything, the biggest thing he cares about is his brand and his image. He will never do anything to put himself in a moment of weakness and I can assure you that tweet endorsing Mitt is not a moment of self weakness.

And I doubt Trump would've made the tweet had Mitt not debase himself after the election for the State job.

Yep. He's one of the most socially conscious politicians alive.

I actually dislike Evan McMuffin far more than I dislike Mitt Romney. I feel like Mitt is saving us from an unbearably sanctimonious Senator McMuffin.

Yeah I just researched above and agree with your statement, even though we are having to use Romney to secure the seat
