Gaetz will be appointed Rubio's Senate seat. Trumps next selection will be Paxton, they'll be begging to have Gaetz back as the nominee.

It doesn't make sense to me. This is a fight you don't back down from. I recall hearing recess appts were on the table for those that wouldn't cooperate on the repub side. When Gaetz was announced and ever before everyone knew it would be a fight. Why is this surprising to the Trump team?

Which is dumb of them because it’s not like they are going to like the next pick either. I’ve said before they should be rooting for Trump to pick the worst possible candidates because it will give them plenty of ammo in four years, but Democrats are dumb and never learn.

Mcconnell just kicked trump in the balls. Gaetz was supposed to be the tip of the spear of maga transforming Washington. He burned out quicker than a bottle rocket. Mcconnell has his 4 votes now what is trump going to do about it.

I really hope this is right.
If Ron feels like he doesn't want to appoint Gaetz maybe Trump and Elon can raise enough funds for Ron to feel comfortable about appointing Gaetz as senator of Florida.
Having Gaetz call out McConnell on the Senate floor on the regular would be glorious.

Susie probably was in Trump's ear about it. Sometimes you have to ignore these people. Trump's weakness is he let's others sway his opinion. He needs to have more backbone. Look at Fauci during Covid. Trump better change this or we will see a repeat of the 1st term. He has to be willing to burn it all down. That's the only thing these people understand

His plan is working to perfection. Don't think for a minute that they didn't see this coming. They wanted to flush out a few more Rhinos in the process. Gaetz will end up where he was meant to be.
