All he has to do is tweet he cured the flu

And flu cases will magically return at the expense of COVID*

*flu has a magical 98% decrease while COVID is "surging"

I don't think he can do it with a tweet; pretty sure it must be done by EO

In all seriousness, though, I'm not surprised by this. With air travel down, people wearing masks and sanitizing constantly, the incidence of flu transmission should be way down.

Except COVID cases are surging

So either masks don't work for COVID or COVID is hawking the flu

Can't have it both ways

The Covid-19 virus is only 5 nanometers in size and easily passes through the vast majority of masks quite easily. I think masks are useless against the virus.

However, the flu virus is up to 30X larger and can be stopped by masks. Also, the flu virus clings to dust in the air, so air filtration systems catch and hold the virus more easily where Covid-19 can pass through the filters and more easily be dispersed through ventilation.

Agreed and in fact, the wife and I have discussed wearing masks in the future when we travel, in crowded spaces, etc. Sort of like the Asians do. I use to think they were silly when seeing them in airports before Covid, but I have definitely changed my thoughts. Am I scared of the diseases? No, but I also do not enjoy several days feeling like dog shite either. Small price to pay quite honestly.

Down 98% worldwide, not just in the US. Entire countries with zero cases in a given month. There is no plausible explanation for that sudden change other than flu cases being repackaged as Covid cases.

SARS-CoV-2 virion are between 50-200 nm. Influenza is between 80-120 nm. Where in the world did you get 5 nm from?

You're a complete moron. There is so much ignorance in that statement.
Now COVID can decide not to "cling" to certain objects? Dust is a no go, but flu goes to dust?
Just ignorant beyond what can be explained to you.
COVID. FLU and any other airborne human transmission is relying on its moisture. It "clings" to anything with less moisture for sure!
The absence of moisture kills any virus

Truly remarkable how mind fricked people are over this shite. They honestly believe everything the media tells them about Corona.

I'm an infection control officer in my community and at first this was my argument when we thought it was airborne. Its not. It travels in secretions, when you cough, sneeze, wipe your nose etc. The droplets are caught by masks, they do work. The problem is that even when worn, people do not wear them properly and they're not going to. A perfect example is Joe Biden pulling his mask down to cough.

I, for one, enjoy watching scientists and people in the scientific community bitch at each other.
