I have been assured that LGBTQ are not more mentally ill than the population as a whole. Why would they need a special resource like this?

As previously stated, callers can request and be connected with a counselor with a special interest or experience, such as cultural issues, a counselor with experience in training in PTSD, OCD, and other issues. LBGT has been removed. Can no longer be connected with a counselor with that type of interest or experience.

And I have been assured by the right that they are more mentally ill. My point being that hypocrisy runs deep…on both sides.
BTW, the left has always stated that LGBTQ are more prone to anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses.

In a statement to NBC News at the time, an HHS spokesperson described the option as a "chat service where children are encouraged to embrace radical gender ideology by 'counselors' without consent or knowledge of their parents".

Little does HHS know that virtually any counselor will encourage anyone with gender issues to accept their gender ideology.

Sounds right enough to me. It's not so much the sin part as the total break with reality one pushes when claiming they are the opposite sex.
Even that is regrettable, but the fricking incessant pushing it in others faces is just intolerable.

At least they got one for a few years.
These are people who all of a sudden decided in the last 5 minutes that the gender binary, which has been the standard for the human race for 100,000 years, just wasn’t good enough for them. It’s because we’ve glamorized this crap and protected them, everyone wants to be in the protected club.
Easiest way to do that is dye your hair green, gain 100 pounds, wear a dress and yell at everyone. You get your own option on a suicide hotline and get to beat chicks at sports.

If a family member of yours committed suicide, would the first thing that came to your mind be “oh no, they sinned”? If you only care about kids offing themselves because it’s a sin then I have to question if your morality is truly genuine.
You don’t need a book to have empathy. Chimps and elephants display complex levels of empathy and they can’t read.

Then let’s be honest about the entire thing.
Gender dysphoria is a mental illness in almost every form. When the left refuses to acknowledge this, it negates any credibility in dealing with it.
This is not to say the victims should be shamed, discriminated against, or reduced in dignity. I will never condone that, but I do insist that we deal with reality.
