RIP Ricky Vaughn.

quote:

The man behind pro-Trump Twitter troll account “Ricky Vaughn” was busted in Florida on Wednesday for spreading disinformation during the 2016 presidential election in a scheme to limit black turnout, officials said.

Douglass Mackey, 31, was arrested in West Palm Beach on one charge of conspiracy against rights, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Between September and November 2016, Mackey allegedly conspired with others to use social media messaging to encourage blacks to cast their votes via text message so their ballots wouldn’t count, according to Brooklyn federal prosecutors.

On Nov. 1, one week before the presidential election that ushered in President Donald Trump’s term, Mackey allegedly tweeted an image of a black woman in front of an “African Americans for President Hillary” sign. Written on the photograph was the message, “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925. Vote for Hillary and be a part of history,” the complaint states.

More than 4,900 people, encouraged by the misinformation campaign, cast their vote via text, officials said.

One could argue that if you are that stupid, you really shouldn't be voting anyway, but the article says that 4900 sent the text. How many of those 4900 voted and sent the text?

And if people are going to now be busted for sending out misinformation before an elections, we are going to have to build a lot more jails.

Democrats don't mind or restrict illegal gun murders. It guarantees multiple additional democrat votes.
1 vote for the unconvicted felon, 1 vote from the deceased victim.

Wow, this is a real thing? Our politicians lie as naturally as they breathe and this guy gets arrested for this?

Politicians should be arrested first for "misinformation".

I’m curious how many of the 4900 that sent a text are registered voters. Of the ones that aren’t, what are they being charged with?

He should call it art. Truthfully that’s all a meme is anyway. It’s a form of artistic expression

Would it be any different if he painted it on canvas in watercolors and displayed it on the sidewalk?

...and if they believe they voted twice in the same election, shouldn't they be in jail for intent?

That is much worse than 300000 ballots after telling everyone to go home at the voting precinct.

Great question. And it should be everyone’s first thought on the matter. Because as of now all I can glean is they tweeted just out into the universe?

Sounds like a states rights issue. Where is DeSantis?
