Trickling out incrementally more draconian steps every day, day after day isn’t helping.

Pull off the fricking band aid already and lets start moving forward again. You frickers in government, state and federal, all can see where this was headed weeks ago, why kill us with 1000 cuts?

This sets a very bad precedent for the next Biannual Pandemic of the Century that hits us.

Are people really living in forced lockdowns out there? I mean I’m working from home but I’m not locking down if I need or want something I go get it. I guess what I’m asking is there curfew, some type of police or army enforcing shelter in place?

I have heard California is the worst

We would be getting back to work now if we would have just done the smart thing a couple weeks ago

I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with you, but just for shits and giggles what would you do?

I've been saying this for two weeks. Had they mandated a national shutdown, we'd be coming out of this. Instead, it's trickle down which will prolong this longer than needed. We'll be dealing with this into May/June if they keep this BS up.

Agreed.

We are debating martial law and suspension of constitutional freedoms. We are talking about fraud ridden mail-in elections. We have willingly allowed politicians to destroy our economy. All for a virus that's not particularly deadly or even symptomatic.

This shite has completely jumped the shark.

If they had people would accuse them of overreacting.

I’m not seeing any bigger problem than the common flu unless you’re over 60 AND/OR have other respiratory problems. We don’t freak out about that, and more people have likely died in the same time frame.

But we’re in an election year and the media thinks if it gets bad enough people will blame Trump no matter how much he does to help.

It is time we defend the constitution. If the "powers that be" want to deny us our natural rights they should not be able to do so bit by bit nor without declaring martial law.

I am about one day from starting to frick stuff up.

The destruction of the economy, coupled with the trampling of our rights should not be stood for.

Apparently it is worse in some areas than others. I can see why you would ask that, here in the Augusta area other than schools being closed and a lot of restaurants doing drive through only things still seem fairly normal. The stores are open, people are moving about and industry seems to be business as usual.

I'm not sure how much or little of the country is the same however

I agree completely. And what scares me is this will be SOP in two years when the next thing comes.

This isn’t a warm tub, stop easing us into this. If it require lock down then do and get it over with.

This approach is designed to lull the population so that people don’t freak out.

What "smart thing"? Shutting down businesses is hurting the economy. That's not a decision you make because of a virus that kills no more than the other viruses we've had or have in this country. It wasn't the smart thing then, and it isn't now.

Bottom line, we aren't here out of necessity, we're here because of an overreaction. Period.
