I remember when I was coming up in middle Georgia nearly everybody's dream job was to go to work for Georgia Power. I have unconsciously known that they are totally different company now, but it still shocks me to no end. Southern Company stock was about as safe and profitable as there was. I find myself hoping it goes to zero when the markets open on Tuesday. Pardon my spitefulness. I can't help myself right now.
