Top trend on twitter is “Fvck the fourth”.

And people try and claim all of this noise as of late is only about racism. That it’s not anti-American. Trump spoke exactly what we all knew last night. There is a Marxist movement to destroy this country.
But how does shite like this even get to “trending” status on twitter. Twitter has become a goddam cesspool and I am thinking about deleting it. I’m not that active on it anyways, but I like to check it occasionally to get the pulse on things. But I doubt (or hope not) it’s representative of what real people think, so is there really a point to it then?
I don’t think Twitter should censor, but maybe they should curate a little bit so every topic on there isn’t just a cesspool of the same garbage alt-left ideas being spewed by bots and npcs.

Just deleted it. I just don’t like the idea of running away because of seeing stuff I don’t like. I don’t want to become insulated in my own bubble without hearing the other side. But in this case twitter is just so disgustingly toxic (and heavily tilted to one side) that I had to drop off.
Really wish there was a wide social media platform that didn’t devolve in a cesspool, and also didn’t heavily favor the left politically by shadow bans and everything else of folks on the right. There has got to be a market for a better platform out there. Honestly this board is about as good as Ive found.

if #1 trending was real than every one of Trumps tweets would be #1 at some point. i've seen tweets with just a few thousand retweets get #1 over others that have a couple hundred thousand. its decided by Twitter admin

Good for you. Stay the course. There are plenty of others ways for you to keep up with current events. And you will get directed many times to a twitter comment but do not stick around. It’s the junk food of the mind. Empty calories with zero benefits.

I don’t get it. I hear people all the time say they are thinking about dropping Twitter. “Uh, I’m just so sick of hearing about _______”. But right back to it they go.
My local newspaper... who 4 generations of my family read in the morning or evening started giving a racist black leftist and a couple other leftist soys room in the paper. My grandfather used to read me the comics in the evening when I would walk to their house after I finished my work at home for school. My father and I had discussions about major events printed in those pages.
I called and cancelled when they started that crap. Right then. Frick em. I am not reading that shite. I sure as shite am not paying for it.
