I thought Tom Hanks was great... starting with Bosom Buddies , through the 80s and into the early 90s. Started thinking that he was overhyped and overrated around the time that Philadelphia and Castaway came out and am really glad to see that other people are sick of him too.
But this video is far from scandalous. He mooned the audience back when mooning was a really common thing. Big fricking deal.

I can't stand him. But framing that video as "exposing himself to men, women, and children" is the kind of crap that I'm so sick of seeing people on both sides do.

Tom Hanks is a national treasure. I don’t know or care about his political views. He’s a wholesome guy who has made some of the best movies ever.

We should be teaching people to see things in the context of the time in which they happened. Not using their trick of looking at events of the past and judging them by current society norms/expectations.
