I would say its dumber to hold back giving anyone drugs which have decades of safe use, until a months long clinical trial is done to test if it works.

To take the war analogy that elites like to use: in wartime, you battle test weapons pretty quickly if it looks like it works. Telling troops 'don't add that applique armor, we haven't tested it back in Aberdeen.' is the same as what Fauci and others are doing.

If it doesn't work, move on to something else. Better yet, test Remdesivir and Chloroquine at the same time (different patients). Test anything that might work and has a history of safe use.

What the media will do is focus on those it did not work for, and make that the headline.

If there are 99 people cured, but one isn't, they will find the one...

The drug has side effects that include affecting the heart. Using any drug on a sick patient can have poor effects even if it is "safe" for a healthy person.

And we are trying everything. We have been.

Not that simple, they have already found several drugs that have made it worse.

You need to know WTF you are giving someone is not going to make things worse.
