This move is cruel, unnecessary, and counterproductive to America’s long-term interests!

This is bad. ICE just told students here on student visas that if their school is going online-only this fall, the students must depart the United States and cannot remain through the fall semester. https://ice.gov/news/releases/

I guess when you are known for killing people that the little things get in the way.

Before you even have a chance to form an opinion, this slapdick shitbag starts the tweet with "this is bad." Now you've got it tucked in your mind that whatever follows is bad and you should feel bad for feeling it, before you even fricking read it. You have to actively fight that notion out of your head.

Thought control.

Her statement is obviously too harsh, but that move doesn't make sense...

If they are enrolled at a university and here on a student visa, even if the classes are online, there are a lot of campus resources and experiences that they should still be able to utilize.

Well.... I actually agree with her on this one. Why not let students who’s schools are being forced to go online stay in the country?

It’s obviously a move by Trump to force the schools to open back up (as they should!). He’s betting the schools will react to accommodate the students and the new order. Well played President Trump!

It's like she is looking in a mirror and describing what she sees.

Don’t fall into that trap my friend. Always take the opposite side of an issue than hillary. Doing so will ensure you’re on the right side of history. As stated above, it’s a play to force the schools to open back up. Nothing more.

Because they are on a student visa, meaning they are allowed in the country to attend university. If university is online, then they don't need to be in country to attend.

What sort of things are still going to be open and happening on college campuses if they are online only? Dorms, cafeterias, student unions, campus rec centers, etc. still going to be open?

If this pandemic is so bad that we can't hold in person classes, then it should also be so bad that anyone who isn't a citizen doesn't need to be here potentially spreading the virus around in public. Students on visas being gone would cut down on numbers in public, if, you know, the virus is what we are so worried about

Can they not go back home and attend virtual class from there?

Seems like the reason they said they needed to be here is gone.
