Stay with me:

Hastily, with no real sound justification, the DOJ will decide autonomously that Trump broke the law (some law, any law). They’ll press charges and a judge will quickly render a verdict that he cannot run for office again.(or he will plea deal to avoid charges). The media will tell us, while sorta improper, all of this is in the best interests of the country.

Then, much later after Trump is past his prime: People will start coming out of the woodwork to say “mayyyyybe that we handled totally wrong and the feds shouldn’t have done that”. But oh well!!! What’s done is done!

This parallels every bamboozle the government pulls on us.

They have no real intention of prosecuting trump for anything.

The impeachments, the NY AG stuff, the Jan6 committee, this nonsense.

It’s all for appearance. To make people say well he can’t possibly run look at all of these investigations!

Even if they are all BS.

Trump is 76 now, will be 78 at the time of the 2024 election. He’s still sharp, night and day to Biden stumbling over his cue cards and wandering offstage, but I don’t think even Trump would say he’s got “much later” to go before he’s past his prime.

But also how much does a 78 year old billionaire have to lose if they try to lock him up or block his (likely) last shot at running?

The “classified documents” probable cause is a BS excuse for the search warrant but Trump did have all the top secret access at one point. He’s got enough info that he could let fly if he’s pushing 80 and they want to try to put him in prison or shut him out of running again.

Most likely this, this is their template all through his presidency, all the HHTM’s having a fit that he just won’t fold like other past light weight Republicans, then making an issue that it’s his behavior that’s hurting the country, when they orchestrated this bullshite out of thin air from the beginning
