Sounds to me like he protected the U.S. population by advocating the only method that’s 100% effective, and not allowing carriers of the disease into the country.

you really have to love that these morons consider a president of the United States preventing carriers of a virus that no one actually understood at the time from entering the United States to be a bad thing

He must’ve he survived AIDS since Bush wasn’t re-elected.
He probably died recently from the Trump tax cuts though.

Can we put the people with aids out of the land now? They are all either figs or needle druggies or both. Even with heroic health care, billions spent in public health funding, and miraculous advances in pharmaceuticals they are still spreading this third world plague like crazy.

Yeah, swap EBOLA for AIDS and would these people still be up in arms? Or is it because AIDS was and still is primarily a gay persons disease that has them so worked up?

They were pissed that the response was subpar because the only people getting it tended to be gay or druggies, it was considered a death sentence, and no one knew how it was spread.

What degree of blame should the gay community have shouldered? Long past the time it was determined that promiscuity was deathly dangerous, and that condoms were a somewhat effective way to reduce contracting HIV, they were still riding bareback and regularly slurping complete strangers. They were reckless throughout the epidemic.

man I will tell you this. as a kid who was born in 83, so i was growing up during the AIDS/HIV crisis, i had no clue that it was primarily a disease for homosexual males until after undergrad. they made it seem like we were ALL going to die
