This is modern day Europe

So I'm watching this documentary on Netflix called Dogs.

And there's this one episode about a Syrian young able-bodied man who says he fled Syria because they wanted him to join the Army - and he goes to Germany but leaves his dog behind.

He says, Germany pays his rent, pays for him to go to University and gives him living expenses but he misses his dog.

The episode shows him and his Syrian friends sitting around cafes all day drinking beer and complaining about the prejudice and inequality in Germany.

In the episode he has a giant Apple Computer and a laptop of which he uses to Skype back home to Syria.

They never once show him going to a job or even to school. He Skypes back home, shops a lot and drinks beers at Cafes with his buddies from Syria.
