According to Bloomberg Elon has locked the programs and algorithms.
----
Twitter has taken the unusual step of locking down its source code after its board of directors accepted Elon Musk’s bid to take over the company, according to a new report.

According to Bloomberg, the code lockdown will make it harder for employees — disgruntled or otherwise — to make changes. Bloomberg cited as its source “people familiar with the matter” who were not named.

Any changes to Twitter’s code will require approval from a vice president, Bloomberg reported.

Elon told them to stop tampering with the evidence.

You realize this is extremely common in transition or certain times of the year?

Or simply to hide what is there that isn’t 100% needed by the developer.

Contractors at my site once had their source open for their employees to view with minimal restrictions. Then one downloaded the entire thing on a jump drive before jumping ship to a competitor.

Not sure if that is funnier than the story about why they don’t allow relationships in the same units of the office… guy and girl were married, separate, girl starts seeing another girl working in the same office.

Awk ward.

David Hogg's twitter:

Is anyone else losing followers too? I'm seeing people across Twitter report they have lost thousands today. I am down 5,000. Though much of that could be because I'm an idiot with way too many followers. Idk

Sounds like those fake followers of the left are going into the bit bucket!

Yea they are talking about changes, locking down releases to require VP level during a time like this is pretty standard. I think people underestimate how many VP's twitter probably employs. Probably thousands that can approve a release right now.

Basically just letting others outside of IT know, this isn't really news.

bullshite I've been in IT since 2004 (professionally, been in this world since the 90s) and nothing about this is normal or common

Sure source code lock downs happen, but this entire situation is unprecedented.

Those common locks are on schedule and this is an entirely new ballgame

You couldn't be more wrong

In the IT world there has been nothing even close to the magnitude of Elon vs Twitter

The closest thing you can say is maybe United States v. Microsoft Corp. in 2001

This is multitudes bigger

Doesn't matter, now everything is out in the open. If something like that happens bye bye VP

You're fired might not be exclusive to Trump's catchphrase when all is said and done
