I know there’s other threads and conversation of their terms already (listed below) but can you believe how big of cowards these people are?

Exhibit A:

quote:

We demand of current and future leadership:

Respect: We demand leadership to respect the platform and the workers who maintain it by committing to preserving the current headcount. Safety: We demand that leadership does not discriminate against workers on the basis of their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or political beliefs. We also demand safety for workers on visas, who will be forced to leave the country they work in if they are laid off.

Protection: We demand Elon Musk explicitly commit to preserve our benefits, those both listed in the merger agreement and not (e.g. remote work). We demand leadership to establish and ensure fair severance policies for all workers before and after any change in ownership.

Dignity: We demand transparent, prompt and thoughtful communication around our working conditions. We demand to be treated with dignity, and to not be treated as mere pawns in a game played by billionaires. (TIME)

What have they been doing for the past 6 YEARS?!

They’ve been discriminating against any political belief that isn’t their own.

Now that they’re backed into a corner, they want to play fair.

So you’re saying that just because someone is here on a worker’s visa means they’re granted a lifetime position at that company?

These people are the definition of what’s wrong with this country.

Entitled. Cowards.

Amen. These people deserve every hit they take, times 2. They have intentionally subverted our democracy and were complicit in the long-insurrection against President Trump.

If they want fair, I'll put them in a fire ant hill and pour Tabasco in their eyes. That's fair.

In my years as a working adult, I have done pretty good, nowhere near OT Rich, but comfortable. I have also been nearly broke at one point some years ago.

These are the kind of people that would freak out if their neighborhood Starbucks was temporarily closed.
Hard Times make strong men? Is that the saying?

Maybe they need to experience what is real life for many of us. They may just get an epiphany about the meaning of life.

'dafrick does this even mean? Are they wanting Musk to send some body guards to protect them once they've returned to their home country?

He should just fire them all and start over. There are plenty of young people in that industry who would love to have their jobs.

I can guarantee the ones shrieking the loudest don't come anywhere close to touching the actual product or financials. Most of the "code" these people do is probably in excel. Safe to assume they suck at even that too.

If I’m Elon I don’t fire anyone yet.

I manage them out the door.

Responsibilities they don’t want. Change in censorship and fact checking. Reinstate project veritas. Pay cuts. Remove remote work. Make them leave the company.

nah, just can them.

By that letter they have no chance of changing and can do some harm if left in their positions. I would not want them in my company.

Anyone with any marketable skill has had ample time to get out. How long have we known this deal was happening?

Anyone they went through the trouble of sponsoring for an H1B visa most likely brings value and will be kept on. The people who had nothing better to do with their time than write toothless demand letters are the ones who should be polishing up the resume.

They have the audacity to say this.

Are they spoiled living in their perfect world? Thinking they can be prog filth assholes BUT if they quit they want huge severance packages?
