These ‘cages’ are probably better living conditions than many of these people are used to

Have any of you seen the shacks made out of wooden pallets and dirt in Juarez, Mexico?

The Bambino's are so quiet and serene because they have never been exposed to three squares a day, controlled climate 24-7 and diaper changes on the reg.

They have nothing to cry about.

There are some renters a few doors down from me. I might drive those children to the border in hopes that they will be caged there for a while

There is no "probably" about it.

These cages are like the Ritz compared to where these kids came from.

One of my favorite talking points from this whole thing has been the "permanent emotional trauma" these kids are experiencing due to this.

It wasn't the conditions in their home country that caused irreparable harm. It wasn't the trek across one of the most dangerous areas in the world. It wasn't any of the awful things that probably happened on this journey.

No, it was the detention in the US for 30K+ per year that ruined these kids forever.

If you were white, that would be considered racist and a criminal act. Enjoy your privilege.

Oh I can assure you they are getting better education, healthcare, nutrition, and anything else you can think of than they were getting in their home countries.

I assumed they were Hispanic as you wanted them detained at the border, but now you conveniently label them as "white" Hispanic.

Nope. They are "white" honkies.

And, yes. I desire to have them in a dog cage a thousand miles away

how do you make such assurances?

Even so, the emotional connection that kids have with parents is needed for healthy development. The same people talking about how great this is for the kids have been bitching about fatherless homes in America and saying how terrible it is....they need to pick a goddamn side and stick with it.

Exactly. They need to stay on their side of the line (border line)

I have hunted in Mexico for a long time. On a lease there about 3 hours from the border. There is a reason why a realtively small earthquake causes massive collapses in Mexico.

Just a poor country with a government that is dishonest and corrupt to the core. Conditions at detention center are no doubt much nicer than most of the people are used to.
