There was a second spy implanted in campaign.

Caputo did not say why he believes he was contacted by a second government informant. Reached by TheDCNF, he declined to offer additional details, saying he needed clearance from his attorney. He did say the encounter occurred prior to Halper’s outreach to Page.
“When we finally find out the truth about this, Director Clapper and the rest of them will be wearing some orange suits,” Caputo said on Ingraham’s show, referring to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

BTW- you can make the argument that papa-d and page warranted surveillance.
But it is AN ABUSE OF POWER to extend those surveillance powers to people who are simply on the same campaign as page and papa-d. It is "guilt by association"..... that is nefarious intelligence activity and terrible.

Why are you ignoring that? In fact, A LOT of reporters were on twitter yesterday congratulating chuck for getting that story so much earlier than NYT.

This just seems to be getting worse and worse.
If this all turns out the way most of us think it's heading, I don't know how to repair the damage.
I'm hoping that's why Sessions has been at arms length for this so far. Someone will have to be the axe man, and they need to be someone outside the conversation. He's been keeping himself away from the center of attention.
