The White House has been missing "classified documents" for 2 years?

How is it JUST NOW a story?

Who has been keeping this under wraps? How did it never come out before?

Who discovered this and how?

Lot of questions. Few answers yet.

No one, even the left, doesn't really believe this is about missing or mishandling of classified documents

Doesn't matter. If Trump took them, then they were declassified.

Patience, baw.

The "Pee Dossier" GOTCHA!! wasn't woven overnight either.

There's already one "Smoking Gun" found in a toilet.

Illogical. nonsensical doozies like this Op is taking a bit longer for Hollywood/Derp State Central to refine this script.

Your questions shouldn't take much longer the answer -- but the New York Times, WaPo and CNN needs their script first, don't they? They will explain everything in great detail beginning with the Birgesgarten (er, I mean MAR-A-LAGO) raid.

Once all the script directors have sorted out all fabricated paperwork / warrants, illegal / CGI drone video, shared all the illegal wiretapping, and photoshopping, rehearsed all the "witnesses" -- the Mother of All Bullsh*t Circuses shall commence.

I think it was first reported in February about the existence of the boxes and that the National Archives had sent a referral for investigation. Existence of the grand jury was reported in May. Also, Kash Patel has been discussing these materials for months. So this is not completely out of the blue.

The Department of Justice has opened a grand jury investigation related to former President Donald Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents, following the revelation in February that he had brought boxes of documents home to his Mar-a-Lago estate when he left the White House.

At least one subpoena has been issued to the National Archives, and interview requests have been made to some former aides who were with Trump during his last days in office, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

ABC

Not sure if this story ever pierced the Poliboard bubble.

I’m sure the FBI acted appropriately in this matter. Subpoenas had already been issued. Trumps lawyers in talks with the govt lawyers. Of course a raid was needed. Not meant to persecute a political opponent.

If that is what prompted the first ever raid of a former president’s home in the 250 years of our nation, wow.

Exactly. The talking points are out. They ignore the fact the president determines what is classified and what isn’t. They also act like trump was running around shoving documents into boxes personally and sneaking out at night. Any other person and there wouldn’t be an investigation.

IF (and that’s a bug if) boxes of docs that were supposed to remain were taken they would just be returned. But the govt, with the full support of the American left, are weaponizing every single agency they can to persecute Trump. The friecking national archive has been weaponized. It’s insane. Decatur supports it though.

The raid was done discretely with the help of Secret Service. No one knew it happened before Trump announced it after it was over.

They raided a former US presidents home over some boxes the National Archive wanted back that they allege are classified. And you support it. It is clearly a move to persecute a political opponent. And you support it. It’s quite short sighted of you. Not surprising at all, though. This is how far left the American left has gone. Supporting tyranny without shame.

Even people like Andrew Cuomo and Meghan McCain realize how insane this is.

The progressives on here are that radical.

There is a reason this has never been done before, even in situations like Richard Nixon.

It opens the door.

The progressives on here can’t complain if the next president does it to Biden.

The tactic is fair game now.

National Archives officials had previously confirmed in a letter to the House Oversight Committee that some of the documents recovered from Mar-a-Lago were marked "classified," and said they had referred the matter to the Department of Justice.

So, some documents were "recovered" but there is a suspicion that there were more?

How were they recovered by the National Archives? What was the supposition that there might be more - or where did that originate?

I would guess when it all shakes out, the National Archive did not initiate the request for the documents.

It’s kind of amazing how many Ls you are willing to take against Trump.

You’re lining up to take another one.

CNN’s legal expert even stated that this was a terrible idea.

How radical are the progressives on here?
