Every democrat in Washington was on message before he even got inaugurated and they didn't let up once until he was out of office - and in many ways still haven't.

I'm not here to so much gripe about that fact. It was obviously a very successful strategy. And, sure, it was helped along by a willing sycophantic press, but that was far from the driving force for the Democrats in Washington.

My gripe is, did none of the Republicans in Washington learn anything from this? Where is the ceaseless hammering from them on everything egregious this administration is doing?

They were able to turn Drumpf into the devil while we were basking in prosperity for most of his administration. Here we are, collapsing as a nation, and it's mostly crickets.

I want to see vocal clear opposition. The whole 'let's just sit back and let them destroy themselves' doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, when they are bringing the country down with them the way they are, in the process.

Who's leading the freaking charge here?

Controlled opposition and nothing more... They like the position they are in now because it makes it easier on them...

No one. It’s why I really don’t care about the belief things will swing back the next election.

They will do nothing with it but have cocktails enjoying an extension of their free ride after re-election.

Of the liberal critiques, calling the GOP the party of No for blocking Dem fixes and offering none of their own has been the most valid.

There is something about a long political career in Washington that morphs a normal person into Robert Morley:

Waiter: 'Would you like ice in your martini, sir?
Morley: 'Do I look like a polar bear?'
Waiter: 'Some of the gentlemen here at the club have ice.'
Morley: 'Get me their names and we shall have them removed.'

I think you're 100% right, though I think you may be underestimating the role the press has in making this machine work. Sure, every DC democrat was hammering away at him for 5 years, but would we have heard it if not for their willing accomplices in news media, entertainment, education, etc? Likewise, if every DC Republican was as loud as MTG would anyone hear it with our current press? And if this press corps did report it, would they do anything other than call all of them insane?

I'm not saying that DC Republicans should not be doing exactly that...just that I don't think it's going to move the needle all that much so long as Legacy media refuses to be anything other than Democrat Propagandists. It would make me feel better about them for sure, so regular idiots that watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc will not be moved by any of it, because they'll either never see it or be told why what the GOP is saying si disinformation, etc.

I certainly acknowledged that as part of the issue, and agree it played a large part in the success of the Democrats.

However, there ARE other outlets. Why aren't the Republicans flooding those to shout their message from the rooftops? The ones doing so seem to be few and far between.

There's the problem right there.

DC is a sewer of corruption and power madness. It must be de-centered = spread the dept/s out across the nation - make the gvmnt workers live where their department interest is designed to address.

So you’re telling me the guy that was the author of “The Art of the Deal” couldn’t get deals done?

Was it? This strategy weakened the US government as a whole. It reduced our ability to effectively deal with Covid. It resulted in the utterly disastrous Biden/harris administration.

you won't get the TDS'ers to admit on TV, but they know Biden has been a failure, that the Afghanistan pullout was utterly embarrassing. The inflation and similar is a disaster.

That strategy completely screwed the USA for 20 years.

Good job, democrats.

I wasn't suggesting for the prosperity and well-being of our nation, of course.

Like I said, I think they should be...I just don't know if other than making me feel like they actually give damn it'll move any national needle in terms of people in the middle. Hell...what good is going on Tucker? You've got many even HERE that have sworn off his show...so how is going on there and raising a fuss going to move "moderates" when the only time they'll hear about the appearance is when CNN tells them some NAZI went on some NAZI's show?

Non stop tantrum for 4 years and still blaming Trump. Imagine if things got the way they are while he was in office...
