This is an interesting thread with a lot of people conflating what people should expect out of a functional orderly civilized society with "freedom."

I'm good if people are as free to consume pot as they are alcohol.

I don't want to see a drunk on every street corner and in every other vehicle on the road anymore than I want to see pot smoke wafting from such places, though.

It's amazing that some people have such angry reactions to this stance.

People like Roger don't advocate for freedom. They advocate for hedonism without ramifications.

You'll grow up.

Smelling weed isn't the worst thing that will happen to you. You'll toughen up or die.

Dependence in this context is where a substance is used to prevent withdrawal symptoms or is associated with tolerance. This can be a physiological or psychological phenomena. The user will sacrifice quality of life for substance usage.

I guess maybe I'm naïve in thinking there can still be societal expectations that exist outside of our laws.

I'm not holding my breath (pun intended) to see societal courtesies out of MOST potheads.

Weed. Man are you dumb. Marijuana use disorder is mental, not physical and affects less than 10% of users.

Tell Mammaw you need a new fairy tale.

Freedom comes from God.

You stick to your nannyism. Government will protect you.

Another lie; you're worse than Hank. The idea that freedom is an analog issue SHOULD be obvious and not controversial in the least, yet here you are.

I bet you do. The few brain cells that you have left from your alcohol and pot usage make pictures a lot easier for you.

What's your views on weed and legality?

Should it be legal? Only smoke in home? Can't smoke on the street? Limits on THC?

Is the odor of weed too much for you urbanites to handle?

ertainly that small amount of pot would have little of the intended impact, it would be like having one sip of beer.

You've never smoked weed have you?

I love to smoke weed, but I can do without it easily, and really rarely smoke. On the other hand, I do know some people who can't live without it. It's funny how those same people hate alcohol. I can do without that too, but when I have time and the right conditions, I like 'em both together. Get it done, play guitar, back to work the next day.
