At least half of the Senate have friends and family drinking from the public trough with similar types of deals!! Only a special prosecutor from the Midwest or South will be clean enough to get to the truth!! And then all Hell breaks loose - like Schweitzer's book shows!!

No. Especially given that there is already proof. It is the DOJ's job. A Senate investigation reeks of politics. And they have no real power other than putting information out. At which point the DOJ would have to do something anyway.

We'll never get an unbiased investigation into Swamp Corruption because the Swamp is essentially the Corporatocracy.......all politicians who make it into big league DC politics understand in short order how to use the system for self enrichment or at a minimum to keep your mouth shut.

Best would be DOJ taking down a republican Trump ally first. Show that this isn’t a Democrat or republican issue, this is an American political corruption issue.
