The Ron DeSantis reelection was all a big con job… all of it. Florida was duped, and I have had a lot of people begging me not to point it out and talk about it. Too bad. The Truth Has No Agenda here!

The not pretending reason for the exclusive DeSantis new law is to stop anyone from tracing the background of his travel, and the billionaire special interests and donors who funded it, as he launches his 2024 presidential campaign. As I have been saying since last summer, the DeSantis ’24 campaign was planned years ago – long before anyone else was paying attention.

Ron DeSantis ’24 is 100%, guaranteed to be an absolute construct of the billionaires, multinationals, and hedge fund managers who must stop Donald Trump and the America First platform. Look backward at the professional Republican outcomes in 2018, 2020 and 2022 to see the background of what this is all about.
quote:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law Thursday that would hide records about his past and future travel, as well as powerful people he meets with, at a time when he’s widely expected to be on the cusp of announcing he’ll run for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

DeSantis signed the bill into law unceremoniously on Thursday afternoon, among more than 35 other bills. His office sent an email to the press that listed the bills that were now law.

Under the new law, details about the governor’s trips — whether on state planes or private, chartered flights — will be retracted, including names of staff and family members that travel with DeSantis. Visitor logs to the governor’s mansion and his office also will be hidden.

The retraction will shield information not just from journalists but from DeSantis’s political opponents, who would likely compile droves of research to use against the governor for public scrutiny. Chief among these could be instances in which DeSantis traveled with lobbyists or others who might have been trying to curry favor with him

Can the DeSantis shills explain why he would sign a law that hides his travel records...hmmmmm sure looks shady as frick to me...

Because we’re one truth from Trump away from one of you attempting to murder him.

Law enforcement recommended it and it’s not just for the governor. It’s to protect a lot of Florida elected officials and court members.

For the record I'm not against voting for DeSantis if he should become the nominee, I'm Trump first though. There's some things that have come out over the past few months about RD that makes it seem like he'd be beholden to the RINO wing of the party. I hope that I'm wrong because it's either Trump or him and I know where Trump stands as a president.

Yeah, all those conservative bills he's pushed for and signed into law over the past few years sure do make him look like a RINO...

Ok, now that sounds reasonable.

If you're wanting to be president you have to do everything you can to play to the GOP base which is currently America first. Of course he's making those moves now but his backers worry me. Again, I'll vote for him if he's the nominee.

Well, yeah. They’re doing the same thing they did to Trump to DeSantis. There was nothing unreasonable about that law. The records still get released as well but they’re on delay so that people can’t find patterns and ambush people.

ETA: I don’t want to lump you into a group you may not be a part of but a lot of the things you may see about DeSantis which are called disqualifying are fake news from the left or Trump’s base. They both have a vested interest in taking him out whether or not you personally believe he’s electable or a threat to Trump.

Apparently you missed the "past several years" part. It's not just now.

I mean he didn't win re-election in a landslide, including Miami-Dade which no republican has won in years, for stuff he did in just the past few months...

Guess you forgot all the BIG DICK RON posts around here.

He's only a RINO to Cult45 because Trump called him a RINO.

Projection at it's finest.

I have no idea why people think Cult45 is a cult. Unhinged lunatics for sure, but a cult seems a little harsh.

Just wait until you see them fight each other to be the first one shot by Trump on 5th Ave.

I'm aware of all he's done, I didn't mean in just the last few months. I'm saying if he's had presidential aspirations since he became governor, he would do everything to play to Trump's base throughout his governorship if he wanted a shot at being elected.

Stop being so emotional about this shite we're all supposed to be on the same team untied against the Marxist shite eating away our country.

People get so defensive over Trump/DeSantis and it's self defeating, I'm guilty of it too.

ETA: My only concerns about DeSantis being RINO is based solely on who his backers are, I think for myself.

I'm voting for the Republican nominee period. I prefer Trump, but if for any reason it turns out to be DeSantis, he has my vote. I just have a few concerns about DeSantis is all I'm saying.

Then why did you post this garbage article? DeSantis has been as solid as it gets. He is only guilty of daring to run against a less conservative candidate in Trump.

I thought about it after he said that, and I interpreted it as giving extra protection to Florida officials since virtually every leftist group's hatred is trained on the state. Makes sense when we've seen pretty much every militant arm of left have some sort of legislation being passed against their nonsense in Florida...they're not stable people.

Like I said, his financial backers and their motives concern me a little. I brought the article here to answer a question that I had and someone answered it for me. I decided after getting into some back and forth that it's counter productive to be arguing with people over Trump/DeSantis. They'll both get my vote so it's dumb for me to fight with people about it.

Most of his financial backers backed Trump in 2020. Trump is the one who has true RINOs all over his admin and stood with Lindsey Graham after he begged for his endorsement (probably to be AG) and TRUMP is the last guy to employ Karl Rove.

BTW, I will trade Abbott for DeSantis 100x over just to get half the bills he passed in Florida in the last few weeks. He literally hit every conceivable conservative issue and even went beyond into finding ways to protect against future attacks from the Left.

If you like Trump better because he is more entertaining or you think he is owed one or whatever that's fine but DeSantis is the most effective conservative in the GOP in my lifetime, Reagan didn't get bills like him passed into law.
