I hope this passes and they force every person of pure European heritage to pay $75k each via monthly installments.

Some things I would like to know:
1. How do we determine who gets paid the reparations?
2. Does the money just come from the government budget (i.e., tax money)? If so, aren’t many people just going to be paying reparations to themselves by way of paying taxes?
Slavery was an abhorrent thing, a scar on our nation’s history, and should never be forgotten. That said, this seems like something that would not be practical given how many generations we are now removed from the end of slavery.

I want reparations for serving Uncle Sam in the National Guard for 6 yrs making just a few bucks per hr..
But, still needing carry Blue Cross for hundreds per month, while having a 7K deductible towards any 50 to 100K surgery..
But, Jose can walk straight in from Central America and get that same surgery for free.

People need to feel the pinch on this. No more cop outs by running up more national debt.
I feel the same way about income taxes. You shouldn't be able to have it withheld from your paycheck. You should have to pay it twice a year right out of your own pocket.
