I supported him because I didn’t want Kamala to win. I don’t have to own some of the shitty policies he’s implementing. frick that. He is fake MAGA. I wish Elon could’ve done more cause we are fricked.

The 50-year mortgage idea was on Congress?

The tariff checks?

Why was Trump able to alter H1B requirements through EO, but suddenly it has to be Congress?

My OP is all on Trump.

haven't really put much thought into this, but it wouldn't shock me if this was a part of this. Trump doesn't have good advisors and he's not manufacturing any ideas or policies himself, obviously. Maybe CK was the guy giving advice on how to keep the various groups in check, b/c he's clearly smarter and more in tune with both politics and the population than anyone in the Trump admin.

I see a lot of CKs qualities and influence in JD Vance. I think JD is even at odds with some of Trumps bs lately

Maybe Trump should step down and let JD take over and salvage this presidency before maga is ruined and the Dems take back power. With the current trajectory of Trump, that’s exactly what’s going to happen if he doesn’t revert back to America First

I mean being proven right in the long term has its benefits.

The next stage in cope is people doing the "you wanted Biden/Kamala to win?" and then the ultimate stage: claiming I hate America.

This isn't the time to make such ridiculous claims

You make a decent point. Jr. would normally try to get to him ASAP and explain what is happening. But, the family may not care about anything other than making money and avoiding prosecution after 2028.

You should be asking why someone who was a registered R for 21 years felt the need to change 6 years ago. I even voted for McCain for goodness' sake.

- No need to fix the ACA. We will just send out inflationary-causing checks to everyone!

I remember during the primary, the TWS crowd told us Trump was the most conservative candidate.

The tariff thing really pisses me off, it was meant (allegedly) to be like it use to be a means to phase out income tax, not give the lower brackets some of their money back while excluding the high earners

"JD Vance" was a character molded by Peter Thiel, who is fully on board with the H1B stuff that's creating millions of black pilled, anti-Trump/MAGA young males. CK was apparently the guy keeping JD Vance and the unpopular things he represents at bay in the movement.

Are you still whining over the 50 year mortgage? Again, you don’t have to get one and as far as the rebate checks if it doesn’t add to the deficit I am fine with it. You may not like but the American public school system is an absolute joke and so are most public universities. You have a problem with reality and cry all the time now

That was one of like 4 theorized reasons for the tariffs.

Scott Bessent came out this week and laughed at the notion anyone would think that was why we did tariffs, too. Although that doesn't mean anything and the admin can 180 on it again.

You act like these supposed “young, conservative males” all have degrees in mechanical engineering or anything for that matter. Nothing is stopping them from getting a degree in engineering. The real issue is most young Americans are lazy and don’t want to put in the work to get a defense in something difficult so they default to Business or Marketing. Those are not in need or useful

I mean why does a wealthy Wall Street type need a 2000 dollar check? It’s the lower and middle class(what’s left of it) that are struggling. Trust me, the Walton’s are gonna get that 2 grand in multiples in no time. Of all the shite Trumps done in the past week the only thing young people are not bitching about are the tariff checks.

Well, that’s just silly. I’ll blame Trump for the things Trump did, and I’ll blame the Biden administration for the things they’ve done. Your obsession with hating Trump doesn’t mean I’m signing up for the “Orange Man Bad” bandwagon.
