The only real question is how many people will show up solely to vote against Trump

Those who are enthusiastic for Trump were always going to vote, and those who are voting strongly against the left's ideology tend to be those who are heavily invested in politics and consistently vote as well. Those who are voting purely out of enthusiasm for Biden are small enough in number as to not be particularly meaningful, and those who are voting strongly against the right's ideology tend to be those who are heavily invested in politics and consistently vote as well. Both groups have ideologues who blindly and strongly support their own ideologies above candidates or the opposition's views, and these groups vote consistently as well.
Now, very few people are voting because they hate Joe Biden the person. They may hate what he represents, the ideology he is the figurehead for, but that group is discussed above and generally votes consistently. Very few people who are typically indifferent to politics are going to come out to vote against Joe Biden.
So the real question is, how many people who otherwise would not vote will come out to vote against Donald Trump the person. Is there enough hatred among those NOT normally heavily invested in the left's ideology or strongly against the right's ideology to have a meaningful impact at the ballots? Will the disdain for Trump in the national polls be reflected at the ballot, which would require many to vote on that hatred alone?
That is really the only question, because Biden needs that contingent. If that contingent half asses it and doesn't back up their talk with their votes, he will not win. Hillary was divisive, but many did turn out to vote for the "first female President". She did have a cult of personality around her. Biden does not have that, and he will not win because people are turning out for him more than they did for Hillary. He needs people turning out against Trump to not only make up the difference but push him farther than enthusiasm for Hillary pushed her.

You don't win on "votes against the other guy". Biden has provided nothing. I swore I wouldn't vote for John fricken McCain....along came Obama. I voted for John fricken McCain

Like I asked earlier, how many black folks in the inner city are willing to spend possibly a couple hours in line to cast a vote for Sleepy Joe?
Not many.
Not many.

One of the big issues it’s going to come down to a vote for locking down vs not locking down.
The majority of of people here do not want another one. Joe Biden with his Doom and Gloom speech didn’t instill a lot of confidence.

That's always been gthe consensus, but the fact that Joe Biden is going to get 65-70 million votes means you have to throw that rule out for this election. The ONLY way a candidate like that can get THAT many votes is because many are voting against the other guy. If Joe Biden were running against *insert standard republican politician*, he would get crushed. He is the worst candidate to be run in the general election by a major American political party in at least the last 30 years.

Voting for someone takes less effort than voting against someone. I went and voted in the rain today. Enjoyed every drop of it. I wouldn't have done that to just to vote against someone.

He’s not even the worst in the last 4 years, though
Y’all are forgetting/underestimating how much people fricking hated Hilary Clinton
The fact that Biden is boring and invisible and not Trump-like is kind what they’re after

I’ll be there to vote for him in PA on November 3rd. Hopefully with plenty of other patriots

Because he's not faced any kind of criticism or critique from the lion's share of media outlets. He's being treated like a Make a Wish kid, not a Presidential candidate.

Wait! Trump is going to set guidelines to keep us from locking down? Why would he wait until after the election?

Thank you for your concern...

How so when governors and mayors have the final sayso in determining that? You saying Trump can actually order a state not to shut down?

In August Axios poll had 58% of Biden voters were voting against Trump
Earlier this month Pew had it at 63% of Biden voters were voting against Trump. In June they had it at 67% voting against Trump.
That means Biden voters are enthusiastic about voting against Trump.

I would say the people who blindly hate Trump and believe everything they read on Twitter generally aren’t the kind of people who get things done... or you can count on to stand in a line for a few minutes and fill out a ballot

Not nearly enough for Biden to win.
