The thing that is really odd to me is how many people give money to organizations like the NRA in the first place

I get that really large companies give money to all sorts of interest groups but it seems a bit odd to me

Would it not be better to remain completely neutral and not give any of these groups money? I don't see the benefit.

For instance: you never give money to the NRA ever in the history of your company. No one should have a problem with that and they likely wouldn't. But if you give money to them and then stop giving money to them all of a sudden all of these crazy people want to boycott your company.

What is the benefit of ever donating money to a politically polarizing interest group whether it be the NRA or on the other end of the spectrum - Planned Parenthood? I see very little benefit unless it is very closely related to your product.

It's neither a concern nor is it a troll

I'm concerned that you may have celebrated 420 weekend too hard to come up with that response

Here is a better question - WHY THE frick IS SUPPORTING THE CONSTITUTION SOMETHING PEOPLE THINK NEEDS TO BE BOYCOTTED?

2nd Amendment is a civil right and the NRA is one of the only civil rights groups worth a damn.

It's not the job of corporations to defend the constitution. It really isn't the job of the NRA either to be honest.

So they donate to the NRA so the NRA can supply them with a customer base?

That makes sense for an outdoor company. But Citibank? It's lost on me how it would benefit them to take a stance one way or another on the NRA

Nobody's job to lobby against individual civil rights in the Constitution yet Left Wingers have made it a cottage industry.

No argument there

But if we're depending on the NRA to defend our constitutional rights we're fricked.

While not the be all, end all....if not for organizations like the NRA, who would serve as the lobbying organization against the left wing attack on 2nd amendment rights and gun ownership?

OK what about the leftist example

Let's say you own a family restaurant chain. How would it benefit your business to donate to planned parenthood?

These donations go directly toward endless legal battles to protect the 2nd.

But you already knew that, troll

Why do I need to be a gun dealer to want to protect 2nd amendment challenges?

Maybe you aren’t as smart as I gave you credit for

You don't

But why would you want to get your business mixed up in the mud of partisan politics?

Why not just make the donations personal and private?

An organization protecting rights that are constantly under attack is polarizing?

It shouldn't be but it is

Do you think the ACLU is generally thought fondly of by right wingers?
