The 'National Stay at Home' narrative from the MSM is ridiculous.

A national order would be symbolic only.

There is no national police force to enforce such an order, not the FBI, not the Federal Marshalls, etc.

There aren't enough of them to police 300+ million so policing would have to rely on state and local government cooperation anyway.

In effect, such a national order can't work unless states go along with it anyway.
Even then, there really aren't enough cops to contain everyone.

Ultimately, this is not up to the national or any government,
this is the personal responsibility of each individual.

Posse Comitatus, so it doesn't matter but the combined armed forces don't have even 100 million, and that is less than a third of the overall population.

What if only a third decides to simply leave the house?

The MSM has to find something to bitch and nitpick about. Case in point was the repetitive stupid questions at the WH Briefings. As long as the President's polling numbers are at a high level they're going to continually bitch and moan.

I just have one question for the people complaining that nobody is following the order to stay home. How do you know what other people are doing unless you are also not staying at home?

I liked Trumps answer "I dont agree with it, it should be up to the states I dont think the constitution agrees with it either".

No its not written in the constitution, but the spirit of state and federal rights is very clear.

They just picking anything he wont do and disagreeing with it, rather childish at this point, though the pressers are quite amusing and good for his ratings with the middle of the road crowd.

A federal stay at home order kicks in International law and treaty complications and threats to national sovereignty.

There was a clear and concise YouTube video on it a couple weeks ago... gone now.

maybe someone has some info?

Not sure why anyone here is worried about such an order. It appears we are all sitting inside being keyboard jockeys instead of living life.

You're about 98 million too high.

I didn't know the number.

But yeah, if we called up everyone, the general population would still dwarf them.

However, as pointed out by Eric Swalwell, the general population doesn't have nukes.

But nuking the population is kind of counter productive to saving their lives from a pandemic. Wouldn't you say?

That would be a leftist thing to do, like blowing up the Branch Davidian compound to save the children.

The vast majority of the population isn’t going to try to fight the US military regardless of the numbers being in their favor. They also don’t have all the rest of the arsenal of weapons and equipment the military does. The military wouldn’t need nukes to overpower what’s available to citizens
