I've never, ever, seen this degree of corruption and bias across nearly all outlets of mainstream media. It's incredible, in an astonishingly aweful way, to any honest thinking person. It even extends to those sources that used to be hallowed grounds of truth and objectivity.

To those that believe that freedom of the press is steeped in the democracy-oriented virtue of keeping the public objectively informed of events, this should make you nauseous. IMO if you're not greatly disturbed by it you are either utterly indifferent or a partisan hack with no concern for TRUTH.

Truth is dead to this media machine. Facts are only something to be altered, ignored or cherry picked to suit the leftist agenda.

And no end is in sight.

The media is LITERALLY like Hitler's army retreating from Russia.

Desperate and starving for relevance.

"Media are"

The word is plural, where the singular version is "medium."

Carry on.

We used to joke in the 80's that the media was left-wing biased...but it seemed subtle.

Now it's a sledge hammer.

This isn't media or news...it's warfare to them.

The media started getting owned by about 3 Corps. And then it became all about their agendas...left and right.

It's not news gathering just like ESPN isn't news gathering anymore...they are an arm for Disney's politics and goals and aims.

Everyone is in the business of making money and doing it globally. Just reporting the truth? To make money you need agendas. Go back to Hearst. That's why Orson Welles eviscerated him. You don't report the news, you make the news.

Newspapers and news TV are totally dying. They are in survival mode.

Wrong. The op clearly stated mainstream media. Since they parrot the same talking points, the singular form of the word "media" is correct.

Was trying to tell people (IRL) for many years and ended up completely alienated. They still choose to remain comfortably oblivious, so can't even mention words such as "Awans", "Soros" or (God forbid), "Council on Foreign Relations".
May as well say "Spacemen from Mars" for the same effect.
People sitting there chatting & talking over each other 24-7 is what passes for "news" now anyway. Who cares? Just keep 'em entertained & run creative commercials (which are BS as well).

I understand your argument, but it is wrong. For example, just think about Fox News and Brietbart, which are biased toward conservative/right-wing points of view. These are media organizations, hence part of "the media." Thus, "the media" cannot be monolithic. Rather, they are multifaceted and pluralistic.

And don't even try to float the argument that Fox News is not "mainstream." It is probably the most "mainstream" media organization out there, given that it is the most popular cable television outlet in America.

Brietbart is not mainstream but it is still part of "the media." Its influence on other media organizations is also growing.

Other examples of conservative-leaning mainstream media include The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and The Hill. Additionally, conservative views dominate talk radio, and local newspapers routinely endorse Republican candidates.

Anyone claiming the media isn't left-wing is a complete fool.

I'm saying that right-wing media also exist, and many of those organizations are mainstream. Anyone who denies this is willfully ignorant.

That may have been true about Fox News in prior years but it is much more of an unknown variable nowadays. Breitbart is hardly consider mainstream.

What exactly are you trying to argue? Some red herring-esque irrelevancy?

That both left-leaning and right-leaning media make up what we consider to be "mainstream" media.

Wrong. The so called "mainstream media" refers to Fox News and Brietbart as right wing media.

If we are ever going to fix this mess we must destroy the media in this country. If we don’t nothing will ever change. It must be totally destroyed
