That seems odd to me. Am I the only one?

Baton Rouge and New Orleans voters, those living and deceased, appreciate this new feature

Was this a concession to “Supernagger” since his nickname couldn’t appear on the ballot anymore?

Party/Race/Gender

LINK

Why is Race considered necessary information for the electorate to know? I'd rather see educational information, or any other number of things, before that.

ETA: Crap! You're right! I thought "race" meant what office the candidate is running for.

I've never seen this on an actual ballot when I've voted.

A bit more serious than ridiculous. It sounds very "Democratic".

That's usually the one race that I'm willing to vote for the token Libertarian Party candidate, but they didn't even bother to run one this year.

I guess, it's Noonie Man for me too.

Meh...

No need for it, the names usually give it away.

And to be clear, you are not going to either. This is just info pulled from the Sec of state records (voter registration I think, but could be from their filings).

You will just see party on the ballot.

Yeah, I wouldn't think so either. I wonder if the Secretary of State has always listed that on their "informational" ballot listings, though? It just sort of jumped out at me when I went to look.

Dunno. I have to admit I never even knew that existed!
