The lameass "it was Russians " narraative

Up until now it has been thought that the dumbasses spewing the "Russia interfered with the election " narrative was for two reasons:
1. To delegitimize Trumps presidency
2. Because the losing,lame punkass bitches really have nothing else
But could it have instead originated because of the realization, after the electoral landslide, that Obama and his goons would eventually be found out? And thus the natural CYA was to offer up, preemptively, an excuse for wire tapping.
Therefore, "it was Russia, we needed to investigate" was offered up with the side benefit of delegitimizing the People's choice
for president

It's lookin like their strategy was just to get ahead of it, then the MSM and sheep just repeat the orders no matter how lame. We all know that Wikileaks hacking Hillarie's bathroom server is what they're upset about, so the whole "it was Russians" came across as weak sauce, but now the picture clears.

They thought they would win and never be found out, it wasn't until after the election that they went full throttle with the Russians narrative.

I think OP is right and I've thought it for a few days. I don't think the IC had any evidence that "the Russians" hacked anything. It's a made up phony story put out there by Clapper at the direction of Obama.
This whole scandal started because Obama/Hillary decided to spy on Hillary's presidential opponent. After the DNC hack, they made up a story about Russians (when it probably was a kid in his basement). In other words, the "Russians" was a way to deflect from their OWN criminal activity. They started the whole thing. The only scandal is what THEY did.
And before Obama left office, he took extra steps to cover up his crimes. He signed the EO to give all 16 agencies NSA data and he changed the pecking order at the DoJ in an attempt to put one of his people at #2 (knowing he could get Sessions to recuse). Luckily Trump caught this and made it so his own guy was #2.

And if they were going public during the campaign showing the Russian ties or announcing an investigation due to the Russian ties you'd be screaming fricking bloody murder about a sitting President sabotaging an ongoing presidential campaign.

The only reason they didn't was because they thought they had it won. If they thought they needed it they would have dropped it without time for Trump to respond.

This is a plausible explanation. However, what's incredibly perplexing is that the left has not and will not abandon "the Russians were involved/influenced the election" claim. The longer they continue this line of ludicrousness, the more it reveals about them: they have nothing left of any substance they can attack with.
Americans have grown tired of the Russians angle and it's become comical. Any rational/reasonable person would think, "How could the Russians possibly affect the outcome of an election in the US to any significant degree"? Does it really matter if Trump or his aides conferred with Putin (or any other world leader for that matter)? No.
The problem with the Dems and liberal media is that they still erroneously believe that they are speaking to the majority of Americans when they play that broken record. Meanwhile, the silent majority sits back and smirks (and more importantly votes.)

Then why not just allow full investigation, release tax returns, and rub it in every body's face? It would be the ultimate STF. Instead we have Trump lying about meeting or not meeting Putin, depends on the day. We have Sessions lying under oath, Flynn being fired, and now Wilbur Ross implicated with guess who? The Russians! But yea, Obama is still the black boogeyman

Obama would have no problem doing this if he had evidence Trump was doing anything wrong. He didn't and now he's trying to hide the fact he used the fricking NSA to spy on a presidential candidate.
